The Lustra boys have been very busy as of late and today it pays off for us loyal fans!
The band has just released a self produced music video entitled “Porno Getaway”, interesting song title if I do say so myself (hehe), anyways the video is quite good
The video was shot on location in Boston of all places, so far the video is only available off youtube or we would have a higher quality source but the song kicks arse so give it a look!

According to Lustra they have been asked by the good people at “Rock The Vote” to remind there fans that the mid term election is coming up and to make it their personal responsibility to get out and vote!
The band even provided a link from their myspace page to the registration page which you can visit by clicking here
I know sometimes it seems like your vote doesn’t count, but it is a right most people around the world don’t have so this November please do your part and Vote!

ACK! This will be a heavy blow to Lustra’s many canadian fans but today Nick posted a message on the bands myspace blog saying:
ALL Canadian Dates CANCELLED
To those of you who are expecting us to pull into your Canadian town any day now, please don’t hold your breath.
Unfortunately dates were book in advance of securing work permits, which have not yet been awarded to us. To make matters worse, Travis (our guitar player) injured himself in a motorcycle accident. Unfortunately, it seems that a great deal of this information hasn’t reach many people in Canada who are still expecting to see us. Please spread the word!
Hopefully we’ll get things turned around and get up there one day soon.

Holy crap I can’t believe they couldn’t get their work permits? I mean really it seems like every day I see a new field torn up and houses being put up, massive oversized transport trucks with police escorts cruising up and down our highways but the best band EVER can’t get a work permit to do a few concerts…
If you live in a town or city that was going to host a concert I suggest you get on your phone and call city hall to complain!

We have it on good authority that Lustra will be in the comedy central studios joining in on the “Roast Of William Shatner” it promises to be a very… interesting event so keep your eyes peeled for the comedy channels usual promotions.
